Overview
The Linear integration lets you create issues directly from security findings, coverage gaps, and other Pwnbook data — and view your team’s Linear backlog without leaving the platform. How authentication works
The Linear integration uses a two-tier model:
The org key handles data sync and org-initiated issue creation. When you take an action from your own account (such as moving an issue or adding a comment), Pwnbook uses your personal API key so the action appears under your identity in Linear. If no personal key is configured, write actions fall back to the org key.
Prerequisites
- A Linear workspace
- Admin or Owner access in Pwnbook (for org setup)
Setup
1
Create an org API key
- In Linear, go to Settings → API → Personal API keys (or use a service account).
- Click Create key, give it a name like “Pwnbook Org”, and copy the key.
2
Configure the org connection
- Go to Organization Settings → Marketplace → Linear.
- Enter the API Key.
- Select the default team and project for new issues.
- Click Save & Test.
3
Add your personal API key (optional)
- In Linear, go to Settings → API → Personal API keys and create a key for yourself.
- In Pwnbook, go to Profile → Connections and configure Linear.
- Paste your personal key — Pwnbook will use it for write actions attributed to you.
