What is an organization?

An organization is the top-level workspace in Pwnbook. Members, integrations, and configuration all belong to an organization. Think of it as your team’s shared environment. Cloud (pwnbook.app): Each company or team has its own organization. Data is fully isolated between organizations — multi-tenancy is handled automatically. Self-hosted / local: A self-hosted instance is single-tenant by default. One organization serves your entire company or team, and everyone on the instance is a member of it. You can create additional organizations if you want to separate departments or client engagements, but it’s optional.

Creating an organization

When you first sign in, you can create a new organization or join one you’ve been invited to. To create an organization:
  1. Click Create Organization on the home screen.
  2. Enter a name.
  3. Click Create.
You are automatically assigned the Owner role in any organization you create.

Inviting members

Owners and admins can invite team members by email:
  1. Go to SettingsMembers.
  2. Click Invite Member.
  3. Enter the email address and select a role (Admin or Member).
  4. Click Send Invite.
Invitations expire after 7 days. You can resend from the Members settings page.

Domain auto-join

Organizations can be configured so that anyone who signs up with a matching email domain is automatically added as a member.
  1. Go to SettingsSecurity.
  2. Under Domain Auto-Join, enter your company’s email domain (e.g., example.com).
  3. Select the default role for new members.
  4. Save.
Only enable domain auto-join for domains exclusively controlled by your organization.
